Custom Contact: What are Projects (WorkFlow)??

Custom Contact is a powerful tool that can be used to build Workflow and Automation Systems utilizing Custom Letters, Custom Reports and a system scheduling tool called CRON. 

The Projects ( WorkFlow ) tool allows you to set up a SERIES of events that you want to perform on a given individual over a specified period of time.  (ie. follow up with a prospective student in the days, weeks and months after a recruiting event.)

Very much like a drip campaign, a project consists of one or more elements that are designed to  over a set period of time, each time,  performing one of four options:

1. Send the letter as an email
2. Send the letter as an sns (text) message
3. Print the letter as a PDF document
4. Post the letter to your Task Manager as a predefined item.

The timing of each element in the campaign is based on one of two predefined settings.

1. Run a set number of days after subscription
2. Run on a specific date.

Example:  ( days after user subscription ) do:

• +1 day send email
• +3 days  send sns (text) message
• + 7 days print PDF letter

   

Example:  ( on a specific date ) do:

• 2024-03-21 send email
• 2024-07-01 send sns (text message)
• 2024-10-14 print PDF letter

User Subscriptions and Custom Form Triggers

• System administrators can subscribe any users to projects.
• Users can be automatically subscribed to a project based on how they answer a SELECT TYPE custom form field element. 

Projects (WorkFLow)  jobs can be run manually from the Projects Directory, but they can also be set up to run automatically  as a CRON Job.
